Twilight movie News!!!! Is this Edward Cullen?

Yeh sure, OK. He’s pretty darn cute. I can almost see the fangs.
Old news for rabid Twilight fans, but the book series is being made into a movie *shocker*, and Robert Pattison has been cast for the character of the most dreamy vampire ever, Edward Cullen. Yeah, you heard me right, ef off Tom Cruise and Brad Pitt. Lestat who? Lestat what?
Also cast, is Kristen Stewart to play Bella, who is Edward’s love interest and the Cullen family’s pet human. *snort*
I think she’s totally perfect for Bella. TOTALLY.
What do you guys think? C’mon Twilight fans, I KNOW you have opinions on this, lets hear um. Tell me what you think in the comments section…er, you know where it is.

Hey there! I have yet to pick up a Twilight book and see what the fuss is all about. I OD’d on Rice, and after the poor choices of Cruise and Pitt in those key roles, I haven’t picked up a vampire book since (although Lestat was an awesome creation).

I like the choice for Bella but not Edward. He isnt what I imagined him to look like. Hes not as hot as I pictured him. I guess we all picture him differently. I am still excited about the movie though. When is the next book coming out?

Are you kidding me!?!?!?!?!?! Both of those actors suck for Bella and Edward. I mean, have any of you even read the books?!?!? For the love of god…LOOK AT THEM! Neither of them have the right look for the characters. Especially the actor for Edward. Ummm…ew. He’s so ugly I started to cry when I found out he was going to play Edward in the movie. You would think they could choose someone at least REMOTELY hot for Edward, but this guy is the farthest thing form vampire material I’ve ever seen. Yuck. Are those people mentally unsound?????

I am so excited to see the movie now that they have picked the perfect people to play Edwarad and Bella! Robert Pattison has that dreamy/dangerous/gorgeous look that was described in the book and Kristen Stewart is just perfect for the role of Bella she is exactly as i pictured her in the book!…I am very happy with the decisions! umm well none of these chracters are what i pictured, and of course, i dont think anyone in the world will be as perfect as they are picutred in the book. but i think i can deal with edward, i guess, but i totally disagree with the whole jessica stewart being perfect for bella. I pictured bella being a little more attractive, no offense, i know that bella wasn’t supposed to be beautiful, but i don’t know. i’ve seen that chick in other movies and shes not really my type shes always like an angry character, but hey i’m being optimistic and im going to go see it……….it better be good. haha

Casting for Bella is fine. But my dream Edward would be Gaspard Ulliel. The sweetest, cutest, crooked-smile-having guy you’ll ever find. But I think we should give Robert Pattinson a chance too. Who knows, he may surprise us all!

Edward? That’s not the Edward I pictured! Edward is supposed to be inhumanly gorgeous - this guy looks like a skinny, ugly, dirty, druggie. NOT cute AT ALL. And Kristen Stewart for Bella?! I never pictured Bella with a huge chin! I don’t like the actors these idiots chose. What losers. I love Twilight, but this is a huge disgrace to the wonderful novel. The whole Cullen family is ugly and old, too. I’m VERY disappointed.

I think this is a pair made in heaven …Robert (Edward) is perfect..His mouth the looks..I know we will feel with him and with Kristen (Bella)..I am 39 years old and Edward has been perfectly cast . No question in my mind .Robert Pattinson aka Edward Cullen is the new Prince Charming..The new Romeo …Just my opinion of course.

At first I was shocked about the guy they’ve chosen as Edward. But the longer I think about it, the better I like him. But at least, we have to see him in the movie, the producers will make all the cullens look more vampire-like - thank god for computers.

I agree that Gaspard Ulliel should be the Edward. Maybe even Henry Cavill (although he’s a little too mature looking) Robert Pattison is okay, only because he gives off this ancient dangerous vampire look, but other than that, he isn’t what imagined Edward to be. As for Kristen Stewart starring as Bella, I like the choice. She doesn’t fit the character perfectly, but she still fits. I think I might like Emily Browning better though. The girl who plays Alice is exactly fitting (just what I imagined Alice to be). As for Carlisle…ehh…not the greatest choice, but I can live with it. Emmett is okaaaay as well, but I pictured someone who looked more like a big bear, not as “sharp”-looking. The decision on Jasper is devastating. They ruined his hair, and he doesn’t even look like the silent type. I would want either Ian Somerhalder or Trent Ford. Either would be perfect! (anything but what they picked! pleeeease) Yuck. Anyways..moving on, I kinda like the pick for Esme. Not quite what I imagined, but I can live with it. I imagined her not too mature looking, but sweet, and knows what she’s doing. I like Mary-Louise Parker for Esme the best. And for Rosalie’s casting…yuckkkkk. I don’t like the Rosalie they picked at all. Ew. I definitly would rather pick Olivia Wilde, who actually gives off that sorta graceful feeling. And that’s what I think ^^

Ok the choice for Bella is fine by me…as for Edward… I agree they got it wrong there, but no point in crying about it now. The movie is already being filmed so lets just hope for the best
The movie will never compare to the books anyway. I’m still very excited to see what it’ll be like. (Though I must agree to what someone said about Gaspard Ulliel playing Edward, that seems like it would have been a good choice.)

I actually really like who they got for Edward. I will admit at first I thought they got it all wrong, but when I thought more about it and reread the books I was REALLY happy with the decsion as Robert as Edward. But Bella on the other hand, I’m EXTREMELY dissapointed with the choice. I think they should of put Emily Browning in instead, or at least someone like that. I mean I love Kristen Stweart as an actess and all, but not for Bella at all.

Well I really like the casting for bella. And edward is cute, but hes not super dreamy and hot. He does seem kinda frail. I always think of edward with his clingy sweater showing that he was perfectly muscular. Not to much not to little. Henry Cavill is way dreamier but probably to old for the part. I like this edward too and maybe it will end up being a really good movie. I also pictured Emmett being super buff. The guys for his part is tough looking and hot but ok ya know what I mean.

I, personally, think that all of you have got a screw loose. Robert Patterson will NOT make a good Edward. He is NOT hot. You are all brainwashed or something to think that he is. I d him in Harry Potter. If he can’t act in the Harry Potter , how is he going to act as Edward in the Twilight movie? Nobody can make a good Edward. Nobody. That is why the movie shouldn’t come out. Seriously amazing choice for Edward. I literally can’t think of anyone more beautiful…and I used to be a David Boreanaz obsessive.
Nope, Robert Pattnson…serious yum. In fact, all the cast are gorgeous…I doubt this movie will be unpopular. Even if you’re not already a hard-core Twilight fan (which I really am)…the on-screen chemistry I’ve seen so far is OH-MY-ACTUAL-GOD…*hyperventilating*.
I wouldn’t be at all surprised if this is the most highly anticipated film of all time. And it wouldn’t shock me at all if there were protests to make this movie come sooner…at the moment it is ALL twilight fans are talking about. Well that…and ‘Breaking Dawn’, ‘Midnight Sun’.
Well done whoever did the casting…my hat goes off to you.

ok here’s the deal…the people at summit entertainment picked people who they thought would be perfect for the roles of every character in the movie. are any of you producers? well? no. you’re not…just as i thought. now get off your high effing horses and accept the fact that they chose robert pattinson and kristen stewart for a reason, whatever that reason was. lay off the actors and if you want to be mad at someone, be mad at who chose them, not the actors and actresses themselves. you should at least wait until after you have seen the movie to decide whether or not robert and kristen are right for the roles. and then there’s the really stupid fact that they changed the name of the restraunt from their first date from la bella italia to the bloated toad. who would want to eat at a place called the bloated toad?!?!?!?!?!?

I, personally, don’t like Robert Pattison for Edward. I don’t think he fits him at all. I kinda thought Emmett would look more like Robert than Edward. You wanna see Edward?? Look up Gaspard Ulliel. Omg, he’s the PERFECT guy as Edward Cullen! But it seems that, the more forums on this subject I look at, everyone has their own Edward. It sucks that Edward is too perfect for anyone to EVER impersonate him. I’m personally madly in love with him…even if he is made up. :]
Anyways, I love the girl who’s playing Bella, I think she’s perfect for the role. Almost all of the other actors are perfectly portraying their characters in the movie, like Jacob Black, Billy, and ESPECIALLY Jasper && James. :]

i cant possibly see how any girl could not think Robert Pattinson (i.e. Actor for Edward) is good looking. I am absolutely serious when i say you must be a lesbian to no find him attractive. he is not boring and plain looking like heaps of other actors, he is strange looking almost, which makes him stand out. P.S. they done filming on May 6th now they are doing the editing. the movie comes out in December 12th of 2008 and the 4th book comes out in August 2nd (i think). and Stephenie wrote another book called The Host!

i think that is a horrible edward, if u were true twilight fans, u would understand that deep inside that that actor cannot play the beautiful, yet angry as ever edward cullen. im only scared of who they will pick for emmett, and the rest of them. im really scared for alice casue shes my fav. character. and that actres should not be bella. she looks to old and doesnt fit that part of a stubborn girl who gets a motorcycle and jumps off a cliff just for the hell of it to breaka promise. i am not looking forward to this movie and it will not be better than harry potter. it should stay as a book and i cannot wait till the fourth make its appearance in the bookstores. <3

I like the choice for Bella she is perfect and from the footage i’ve seen so far from the endless youtube videos, of the Twilight Set, she’s awesome. I don’t like Edward though. I’ve seen Robert in Harry Potter and I can’t see him going from Cedric to Edward…. He may look the part, in my oponion not, but w/e. I think Matt Dallas from Kyle XY would be soooo much better, he has that sweet serious look about him. Yea Robert is good but we’ll have to wait and see. This movie better be as good as the book. Ok my friends were absolutely crazy about the book and now i am too ^^. I just recently finished the book and that was after my friends had shown me pictures of Robert Pattinson as Edward Cullen so i practically read the book with Robert as Edward and it wasn’t that bad. I read a few other reviews of some suggested Edward Cullens’ and i think out of all of them Robert’s still the best person for the part. He looks like a pretty convincing vampire to me and i know he looks kinda creepy, but wasn’t Edward supposed to be a little creepy? I admit the other “Edward Cullens” i saw were pretty hot but they don’t have that strange dark, mysterious demeanor that Robert has. Then again, i’m not sure he has the perfect 6 pack and hard muscle i imagined Edward to have **daydream**. And i wasn’t sure about his acting either, but then i saw this:

Hi, I’m pretty new to the twilight fan club- actually I just finished book one today- but I an TOTALLY HOOKED! I can’t remember ever enjoying a book so much.
So, my sister got me started on this when I saw her watching the trailer. But even though I knew Robert P. was going to play Edward before I started reading twilight, I wasn’t quite convinced that he was the best choice after the initial description. Now that I’ve finished the book though, I can see why Robert is perfect for the part (especially when you see him smirk during the trailer!!)
I also think that Kristen Stewart will play Bella perfectly… she has just enough sass to pull it off.
I started looking up the cast to see if the casting would match my own thoughts, and I have to say that I have mixed reviews:
While I think the Cullen/Hale family was cast brilliantly, I was a bit disappointed when I saw the picture for James… granted, he’s handsome, but not quite as “rugged” and menacing as I had hoped, since he is, after all, the villain to the story.
I was also initially disappointed with the casting for Bella’s classmates (except for Mike! Michael Welch is almost exactly what I had picture when Mike was first described as a “golden retriever”!) But, after coming across a group photo, I realized how insignificant the physical descriptions of Bella’s school friends really were to the story; it was all about their personalities

And I’m not sure when the release date for Twilight is in England, but it is set for January 9th in the Netherlands, and January 22 in Germany, so it should be sometime around then- hope that helps

Ugh, this guy is WAY too old to play Edward. He’s twenty-two, and he looks even older. Physically Edward is supposed to be seventeen, so I don’t know what they were thinking with the five year gap. Watching him on screen with an actual eighteen year old would be a bit disgusting to me.
I agree with those that said he looks like a druggie. In most of the pictures I’ve seen he looks pretty grungy, with greasy hair and several day’s worth of stubble. I assume they cleaned him up for the movie (let’s hope…
but he still looks gross to me.

it impossible for anyone to be as fit as edward so i suppose we just wont look at his face
but the books will always beat the film whatever because you imagine it for yourself

it looks like they ran out of wigs so painted a flannel yellow and stuck it to his head!

ok, the trailers kinda wierd
1) bellas got blonde hair in some of it?
2)it got bits in it that arnt even in the book!
3)for the first half of it its just bella walking around looking confused?
4) theres NO talking in it so you have practically no idea what its about unless you read the book
