Twilight movie News!!!! Is this Edward Cullen?

Yeh sure, OK. He’s pretty darn cute. I can almost see the fangs.
Old news for rabid Twilight fans, but the book series is being made into a movie *shocker*, and Robert Pattison has been cast for the character of the most dreamy vampire ever, Edward Cullen. Yeah, you heard me right, ef off Tom Cruise and Brad Pitt. Lestat who? Lestat what?
Also cast, is Kristen Stewart to play Bella, who is Edward’s love interest and the Cullen family’s pet human. *snort*
I think she’s totally perfect for Bella. TOTALLY.
What do you guys think? C’mon Twilight fans, I KNOW you have opinions on this, lets hear um. Tell me what you think in the comments section…er, you know where it is.

Hey there! I have yet to pick up a Twilight book and see what the fuss is all about. I OD’d on Rice, and after the poor choices of Cruise and Pitt in those key roles, I haven’t picked up a vampire book since (although Lestat was an awesome creation).

Slam dunk with Bella, Edward I’m not so sure about – that’ll be a wait and see for me. Definitely not in the realm of casting for Interview, though – not that most of the Twilight fans are old enough to remember that debacle! 😀

I like the choice for Bella but not Edward. He isnt what I imagined him to look like. Hes not as hot as I pictured him. I guess we all picture him differently. I am still excited about the movie though. When is the next book coming out?

Are you kidding me!?!?!?!?!?! Both of those actors suck for Bella and Edward. I mean, have any of you even read the books?!?!? For the love of god…LOOK AT THEM! Neither of them have the right look for the characters. Especially the actor for Edward. Ummm…ew. He’s so ugly I started to cry when I found out he was going to play Edward in the movie. You would think they could choose someone at least REMOTELY hot for Edward, but this guy is the farthest thing form vampire material I’ve ever seen. Yuck. Are those people mentally unsound?????

I am so excited to see the movie now that they have picked the perfect people to play Edwarad and Bella! Robert Pattison has that dreamy/dangerous/gorgeous look that was described in the book and Kristen Stewart is just perfect for the role of Bella she is exactly as i pictured her in the book!…I am very happy with the decisions! umm well none of these chracters are what i pictured, and of course, i dont think anyone in the world will be as perfect as they are picutred in the book. but i think i can deal with edward, i guess, but i totally disagree with the whole jessica stewart being perfect for bella. I pictured bella being a little more attractive, no offense, i know that bella wasn’t supposed to be beautiful, but i don’t know. i’ve seen that chick in other movies and shes not really my type shes always like an angry character, but hey i’m being optimistic and im going to go see it……….it better be good. haha:D

Casting for Bella is fine. But my dream Edward would be Gaspard Ulliel. The sweetest, cutest, crooked-smile-having guy you’ll ever find. But I think we should give Robert Pattinson a chance too. Who knows, he may surprise us all!

Edward? That’s not the Edward I pictured! Edward is supposed to be inhumanly gorgeous – this guy looks like a skinny, ugly, dirty, druggie. NOT cute AT ALL. And Kristen Stewart for Bella?! I never pictured Bella with a huge chin! I don’t like the actors these idiots chose. What losers. I love Twilight, but this is a huge disgrace to the wonderful novel. The whole Cullen family is ugly and old, too. I’m VERY disappointed.

I think this is a pair made in heaven …Robert (Edward) is perfect..His mouth the looks..I know we will feel with him and with Kristen (Bella)..I am 39 years old and Edward has been perfectly cast . I agree that Gaspard Ulliel should be the Edward. Maybe even Henry Cavill (although he’s a little too mature looking) Robert Pattison is okay, only because he gives off this ancient dangerous vampire look, but other than that, he isn’t what imagined Edward to be. As for Kristen Stewart starring as Bella, I like the choice. She doesn’t fit the character perfectly, but she still fits. I think I might like Emily Browning better though. The girl who plays Alice is exactly fitting (just what I imagined Alice to be). As for Carlisle…ehh…not the greatest choice, but I can live with it. Emmett is okaaaay as well, but I pictured someone who looked more like a big bear, not as “sharp”-looking. The decision on Jasper is devastating. They ruined his hair, and he doesn’t even look like the silent type. I would want either Ian Somerhalder or Trent Ford. Either would be perfect! (anything but what they picked! pleeeease) Yuck. Anyways..moving on, I kinda like the pick for Esme. Not quite what I imagined, but I can live with it. I imagined her not too mature looking, but sweet, and knows what she’s doing. I like Mary-Louise Parker for Esme the best. And for Rosalie’s casting…yuckkkkk. I don’t like the Rosalie they picked at all. Ew. I definitly would rather pick Olivia Wilde, who actually gives off that sorta graceful feeling. And that’s what I think ^^

Ok the choice for Bella is fine by me…as for Edward… I agree they got it wrong there, but no point in crying about it now. The movie is already being filmed so lets just hope for the best 🙂 The movie will never compare to the books anyway. I’m still very excited to see what it’ll be like. (Though I must agree to what someone said about Gaspard Ulliel playing Edward, that seems like it would have been a good choice.)

I actually really like who they got for Edward. I will admit at first I thought they got it all wrong, but when I thought more about it and reread the books I was REALLY happy with the decsion as Robert as Edward. But Bella on the other hand, I’m EXTREMELY dissapointed with the choice. I think they should of put Emily Browning in instead, or at least someone like that. I mean I love Kristen Stweart as an actess and all, but not for Bella at all.

Well I really like the casting for bella. And edward is cute, but hes not super dreamy and hot. He does seem kinda frail. I always think of edward with his clingy sweater showing that he was perfectly muscular. Not to much not to little. Henry Cavill is way dreamier but probably to old for the part. I like this edward too and maybe it will end up being a really good movie. I also pictured Emmett being super buff. The guys for his part is tough looking and hot but ok ya know what I mean.

I, personally, think that all of you have got a screw loose. Robert Patterson will NOT make a good Edward. He is NOT hot. You are all brainwashed or something to think that he is. I d him in Harry Potter. If he can’t act in the Harry Potter , how is he going to act as Edward in the Twilight movie? Nobody can make a good Edward. Nobody. That is why the movie shouldn’t come out. Seriously amazing choice for Edward. I literally can’t think of anyone more beautiful…and I used to be a David Boreanaz obsessive.
Nope, Robert Pattnson…serious yum. In fact, all the cast are gorgeous…I doubt this movie will be unpopular. Even if you’re not already a hard-core Twilight fan (which I really am)…the on-screen chemistry I’ve seen so far is OH-MY-ACTUAL-GOD…*hyperventilating*.
I wouldn’t be at all surprised if this is the most highly anticipated film of all time. And it wouldn’t shock me at all if there were protests to make this movie come sooner…at the moment it is ALL twilight fans are talking about. Well that…and ‘Breaking Dawn’, ‘Midnight Sun’.
Well done whoever did the casting…my hat goes off to you.

ok here’s the deal…the people at summit entertainment picked people who they thought would be perfect for the roles of every character in the movie. are any of you producers? well? no. you’re not…just as i thought. now get off your high effing horses and accept the fact that they chose robert pattinson and kristen stewart for a reason, whatever that reason was. lay off the actors and if you want to be mad at someone, be mad at who chose them, not the actors and actresses themselves. you should at least wait until after you have seen the movie to decide whether or not robert and kristen are right for the roles. and then there’s the really stupid fact that they changed the name of the restraunt from their first date from la bella italia to the bloated toad. who would want to eat at a place called the bloated toad?!?!?!?!?!?

ok this is not at all how i pictured edward! i read the books and i cant wait till the movie but edward an bella are definitly not what i pictured them! edward could be a alot hotter and mor vampire like and when bella explained what he looked lik in the book looks nothing like him! but he should be ok wat ever but as long is the movie is good im still gonna go see it as soon as it comes out!

i was really bummed when i found out that rob was gonna play edward. but now as time goes on and i’ve been seeing more clips from the filming, i’m getting a lot more excited for him to play edward. he looks so hot on film!!! he’s just not that hot in pictures. still photos don’t do him any justice. lol but i can’t wait until the movie. I AM SO EXCITED!!!!!!!!!

I, personally, don’t like Robert Pattison for Edward. I don’t think he fits him at all. I kinda thought Emmett would look more like Robert than Edward. You wanna see Edward?? Look up Gaspard Ulliel. Omg, he’s the PERFECT guy as Edward Cullen! But it seems that, the more forums on this subject I look at, everyone has their own Edward. It sucks that Edward is too perfect for anyone to EVER impersonate him. I’m personally madly in love with him…even if he is made up. :]
Anyways, I love the girl who’s playing Bella, I think she’s perfect for the role. Almost all of the other actors are perfectly portraying their characters in the movie, like Jacob Black, Billy, and ESPECIALLY Jasper && James. :]

i cant possibly see how any girl could not think Robert Pattinson (i.e. Actor for Edward) is good looking. I am absolutely serious when i say you must be a lesbian to no find him attractive. he is not boring and plain looking like heaps of other actors, he is strange looking almost, which makes him stand out. He is so unbelievably handsome, i can think of no one more perfect to be Edward. He is soooo good looking that i’m entirely convinced even guys would turn gay for him LOL!!!! How can anyone possibly think any differen!!!!! He has a perfect voice for Edward too. Kristen Stewart for Bella is awesome to, she will be a really good Bella. That got you all didn’t it? I think Robert looks darn hot as EC in the new promo pictures and he’ll do for me. Gaspard Ulliel, apart from cute hasn’t got the right facial structure for Edward, every shot they’d have had to airbrush some cheekbones in!
Everyone has their own personal image of Edward and none are the same, that man does not exist, but I’ll take Rob any day of the week.

however, as it was said that everyone has their own personal image of Edward. and i thing Robert will do fine.
Kristen is the perfect character to play bella. oh yeah by the way Stephenie said that when you going to watch the movie Edward and Bella will look so deeply in love that you forget it is a film or that they are acting. anyways looking forward seeing the movie.
P.S. they done filming on May 6th now they are doing the editing. the movie comes out in December 12th of 2008 and the 4th book comes out in August 2nd (i think). and Stephenie wrote another book called The Host!

i think that is a horrible edward, if u were true twilight fans, u would understand that deep inside that that actor cannot play the beautiful, yet angry as ever edward cullen. im only scared of who they will pick for emmett, and the rest of them. im really scared for alice casue shes my fav. character. and that actres should not be bella. she looks to old and doesnt fit that part of a stubborn girl who gets a motorcycle and jumps off a cliff just for the hell of it to breaka promise. i am not looking forward to this movie and it will not be better than harry potter. it should stay as a book and i cannot wait till the fourth make its appearance in the bookstores. ❤

I like the choice for Bella she is perfect and from the footage i’ve seen so far from the endless youtube videos, of the Twilight Set, she’s awesome. I don’t like Edward though. I’ve seen Robert in Harry Potter and I can’t see him going from Cedric to Edward…. He may look the part, in my oponion not, but w/e. I think Matt Dallas from Kyle XY would be soooo much better, he has that sweet serious look about him. Yea Robert is good but we’ll have to wait and see. This movie better be as good as the book. And Jenn, you can’t read the frist chapeter of Breaking Dawn on Stephenie Meyer’s webpage as it it copyrighted material. Ok my friends were absolutely crazy about the book and now i am too ^^. I just recently finished the book and that was after my friends had shown me pictures of Robert Pattinson as Edward Cullen so i practically read the book with Robert as Edward and it wasn’t that bad. I read a few other reviews of some suggested Edward Cullens’ and i think out of all of them Robert’s still the best person for the part. He looks like a pretty convincing vampire to me and i know he looks kinda creepy, but wasn’t Edward supposed to be a little creepy? I admit the other “Edward Cullens” i saw were pretty hot but they don’t have that strange dark, mysterious demeanor that Robert has. Then again, i’m not sure he has the perfect 6 pack and hard muscle i imagined Edward to have **daydream**. And i wasn’t sure about his acting either, but then i saw this:

Hi, I’m pretty new to the twilight fan club- actually I just finished book one today- but I an TOTALLY HOOKED! I can’t remember ever enjoying a book so much.
So, my sister got me started on this when I saw her watching the trailer. But even though I knew Robert P. was going to play Edward before I started reading twilight, I wasn’t quite convinced that he was the best choice after the initial description. Now that I’ve finished the book though, I can see why Robert is perfect for the part (especially when you see him smirk during the trailer!!)
I also think that Kristen Stewart will play Bella perfectly… she has just enough sass to pull it off.
I started looking up the cast to see if the casting would match my own thoughts, and I have to say that I have mixed reviews:
While I think the Cullen/Hale family was cast brilliantly, I was a bit disappointed when I saw the picture for James… granted, he’s handsome, but not quite as “rugged” and menacing as I had hoped, since he is, after all, the villain to the story.
I was also initially disappointed with the casting for Bella’s classmates (except for Mike! Michael Welch is almost exactly what I had picture when Mike was first described as a “golden retriever”!) But, after coming across a group photo, I realized how insignificant the physical descriptions of Bella’s school friends really were to the story; it was all about their personalities

I completely agree with you holly- edward really is too perfect for anyone to do him justice, but I think Robert will do an awesome job.
And I’m not sure when the release date for Twilight is in England, but it is set for January 9th in the Netherlands, and January 22 in Germany, so it should be sometime around then- hope that helps 🙂

Ugh, this guy is WAY too old to play Edward. He’s twenty-two, and he looks even older. Physically Edward is supposed to be seventeen, so I don’t know what they were thinking with the five year gap. Watching him on screen with an actual eighteen year old would be a bit disgusting to me.
I agree with those that said he looks like a druggie. In most of the pictures I’ve seen he looks pretty grungy, with greasy hair and several day’s worth of stubble. I assume they cleaned him up for the movie (let’s hope…) but he still looks gross to me.

Okay… so I almost cried when I saw this cast. I really just don’t want to see the movie now, because everything pretty much ruins the image I had in my head. lol. I mean… Robert… looks like an alien kind of. Like, I’ve seen some clips from the movie, and some of the looks he gives are just BAZAAR. I mean… geez. I don’t think they could have done much worse with him, unless they’d cast like… I don’t know. It’s kind of hard to mess up worse than that. Bella’s alright. She just looks a little too fierce for Bella to me. But that’s all right. It’s a great story, so there are only so many ways you can butcher it.
You know who would have been the most PERFECT Edward? Steven Strait. Not 10000 BC, Steven, go see The Covenant.

I love, love, LOVE the Twilight Series!! I was talking to my friend about the movie, and she said she was disappointed in who they chose for Edward. We went to the computer and looked at his pic. on google. HOLY CRAP!! He’s totally the wrong person to play Edward!! I love the choice for Bella, though. dont worry, robert pattinson is an AMAZING edward! i’ve already seen him in a few shots… its on youtube sponsored by MTV. he’s AMAZING, and for those who say he’s a stuckup ugly awful british actor, well, heres some news 4 u- everyone knows that there is no human that can emotionally, physically, or in any other way to however much of an extent amount to Edward Cullen. Its quite sad how things get transfixed on something else. Leaving the conversations completely destroyed. The perfect Edward should not be human, and I’m sure its quite hard to find a “real” vampire to portray such a role. Since apparently they don’t exist, and if they do it’s contextually derived from books.
The perfect Edward Cullen only lies in “our” fantasies, and each of us has a different standard for Edward. Which makes things so much harder for us fans, but unfortunately this is all we have. Why ruin the book by complaining about the movie? it seems so fruitless to do so.

The only ones I think that re so right are Bella, Carlisle, Alice and JACOB! For me, the guy they chose for Jacob Black is perfect. I mean, the guy’s totally Jacob’s face! If you see pictures of me on the internet, you’ll see he’s still a kid but, he’s supposed to be a kid. Then, if you check on youtube some videos of them shooting the scene where Jacob talks to Bella for the first time, you’ll see Jacob there. He has exactly the look I always imagined for Jacob, which doesn’t happen with Edward… I mean, I think the guys they chose is cute, yeah, I’ll give him that but, he’s not enough for Edward. Come on, guys, I mean, when you were writing the script or reading the books, didn’t you guys noticed Edward was supposed to be freakin hot? I think Bella is just perfect. As for Edward, the guy isn’t THAT ugly, he just isn’t right for Edward. And, I’m glad they decided to make the movie because, now, we can actually see the whole thing, instead of just watching it on our own minds. As for the scene that was released, yeah, I was like, “What the hell? Edward isn’t supposed to be there!” But, when books are turned into movies, they always change something. Besides, if the movie was just like the book, it would be more than 3 hours. Not that we all minded that, I’m sure.
Oh well, I guess we just have to wait for the movie to see what comes out of it.

OMG…at first, i totally hated the casting…but no i can totally see the harshness in Pattisons eyes, i love it now. But i still hate all the Cullens…especially Jasper…in my opinion, he looks kinda gay, lol. Another great person, which i would’ve prefered over Pattison, is Gaspard Ullie…he looks more like him to me. 🙂
And i think that Bella, is too super-modelish for the movie. I thought she wouldn’t be as pretty, and she would look a little more clumsy, and a little thicker boned…but i am still totally excited to see the movie..

I think that Robert Pattinson as Edward Cullen and Kristen Stewart as Bella Swan is as perfect as it gets. In my opinion, they are both strong actors and from the trailers, no one could have pulled a better Edward than Robert. Truthfully, the only thing im worried about is Rob overacting and messing up the american accent (ok,ok…id rather the whole cast have British accents though). Robert was super hot in Harry Potter and Dangerously On Fire in Vanity Fair (if u guys check out the deleted scene on Utube, I swear to God u will agree with me). I just finished twilight and throughout the whole “novel”, i kept on thinking (rather, i kept on screaming out loud), WTF? She’s obssessed with him to the point that she would give up her life for him…yet, she doesn’t even know if he likes her. First of, he’s always giving her the cold shoulder, moves away from her like she smells (wholly embarassing!!), and later the Cullen family treat her like the little Human Pet they have to protect. Why don’t they just get har vaccinated and get it over with. The only reason im really seing this movie is to check out Robert’s acting. i think that he is such a good person and is uber talented and i just want to see him go from bit parts to leading man. Twilight is light years upon light years away from becoming what Harry Potter was (not enough diversity in my opinion compared to Harry Potter).

I think that they cast the wrong girl for Bella. She is nothing that I pictured her to be and it seems like she has no personality at all. If you watch the interviews of her, she is sooo boring, very monotone and no sense of humor. At first I thought that Robert Pattison was the wrong choice to play Edward, but the more I watched the trailers and saw pics, the more he grew on me and I think he is a PERFECT Edward.

Okay so this post will be wayyy down the list so I don’t even know if anyone else will read this BUT:
-Edward Cullen: Robert Pattinson isn’t what i expected AT ALL i was seriously disappointed at the beginning. But like some people, i’m liking him a bit better as i think about it more. sure, some of his pictures are HORRIBLE but i’ve seen a few nice ones and he has potential to make it work. plus, you have to admit that he actually does give off a bit of mysterious, dangerous appeal… and sexy cheekbones hehe.
-Bella Swan: Okay so she’s not exactly as i imagined her; i had a better time getting used to edward. maybe it’s because everytime he did something romantic i pictured myself in her place…? hmm. maybe that’s it. either way i think she’s alright but as someone mentioned earlier she’s way too confident!! bella was supposed to be a bit more cute and less pretty. i’m not sure about alexis bledel but she has that plainer look but has that hidden beauty about her you know?
-Carlisle: I am actually pretty happy with the choice for Carlisle; he fits the role good enough for me. looks a bit younger than edward, but other than that i find it’s a good fit.
-Esme: Okay, i’ve seen grey’s anatomy and she’s… okay. she has that motherly look to her but something’s slightly off, i just can’t place it. she just looks wrong for the part except for the maternal instinct thing.
-Rosalie: She’s not drop-dead gorgeous but has the “general” look of rosalie. i find they picked her because she represented rosalie enough to make the part but she’s doesn’t fit it perfectly. (i dont like her anyways so i could care less!) 😛
-Alice: Oh so close! She looks alot like i imagined her except her hair’s supposed to be jet-black and short spiky hair sticking out in EVERY direction. they seemed to just spike the tips but other than darker hair and spikier hair, she’s a great alice.
-Jasper: Oh no.. i find they tried to capture the look of jasper and missed. true, he has blonde hair but he’s supposed to be hot as well! where’s that southern-toughened warrior that they describe in the last two books. i think they went for jasper and ended up with jon heder from blades of glory.
-Emmett: Well, i was disappointed. he doesn’t look big and brawny like he’s the strongest guy i’ve ever seen. he looks buff, i’ve checked the pics, but he’s not BIG. i thought of emmett more like “chunky” in donkey kong. lol if you have no clue what i’m talking about go type in: chunky from donkey kong and you’ll see EXACTLY what i’m talking about.
-Charlie: Okay, i know renee left charlie, he lives by himself, he cant cook and all that… but they made him look like he crawled out of the garbage at a trailer park. he’s a police chief, he should look at least semi-clean. i’ve only seen a few shots of him but hopefully they don’t make him look too gross.
-Mike: he has the right, round baby face i was thinking. i think they nailed him pretty well, especially for a secondary character. maybe i’m harsher about the main characters because they’re so important to the story and everyone’s view of them is that much more precise?
-Jessica: Okay well i kinda pictured her as a blonde so seeing her as a brunette (i know they said that in the book as well) throws off what i thought she’d look like completely. also, they didn’t really focus on how she looked so much as her attitude.
-Renesmee: Okay. i saw a pic that had a headline of “renesmee” but i didn’t see an official list of who renesmee was BUT if it is who i think it is then WOW. they got her, out of everyone, ABSOLUTELY PERFECTLY. i was shocked. 😀
I think that’s everybody they’ve made the roles for, that i know of at least. i still haven’t seen a few like Renee or Jacob or littler roles like Phil, Angela, Ben, etc. Hope the movie is half as good as the book! i say half cause the book is always better; plus my perception of edward is hotter than anyone i’ve ever tried to imagine.

You know what? Whoever says Robert Pattinson isn’t a good Edward is ridiculous.
I first thought that, but after watching his interviews, I really think he got the character down perfectly. Edward Cullen may be a complete hottie, but Robert is one of the few people I’ve seen that could’ve done the acting well. What if they HAD gotten someone completely gorgeous but had no clue about acting whatsoever? I’d rather his personality be down than his looks, honestly.
And as for Bella, Kristen Stewart rocks. She’s the perfect Bella.

im really disappointed…..the first time i read the book and read how edward cullen look like…STEVEN STRAIT immediately comes into my mind as the perfect actor to play as edward cullen because steven is gorgeous, he has breathtaking voice and he acts well in the movie covenant…he can do actions too…Matt Dallas would also do…I don’t like Robert since I saw him in Harry Potter…. The one who played Jacob and Emmet are so fit…and James too…he’s hotter than Robert…all the casts for the cullens fit except for edward….imagine..Robert would play as edward for the next books of twilight???Waaaaa…IM gonna die…i Hope they will change Robert as edward….Robert is good… but he does’nt fit for a god-like character…..

Robert Patternson cast as Edward is starting to grow on me. However I had a more ‘fantastic’ version of Edward in my head (maybe because through Bella’s eyes it so emphasized that Edward is H.O.T). Based on looks alone, I think Jeremy Dufour would’ve been a perfect Edward (if he knew how to act, instead he gets paid to look pretty) there’s a great pic of him here…..i18@tinypic.com
I felt the same way when they cast Toby McGuire as Spiderman, now I can’t see anyone else as Spiderman. Who knows Patternson may surprise us all.

To tell you guys the truth, I had never heard of these books, and I am an avid reader. It does sound like a great story, and when I saw the cast of “Twilight” the cast had those faces where I had seen them before, but where? feel to them.
It is amazing how some actors have that ability to somehow change their appearance for each role they play. For the life of me, I cannot remeber where I have heard the name of ‘Kristen Stewart’ but I remember Robert Pattison in the Harry Potter series and Cam Gigandet in The O.C. (Volchok)

i actually pictured edward to have a softer jaw line. when i first heard it was robert playing edward i was pist. but now that ive had a chance to see the previews for the movie and all that good stuff, i think robert can pull it off. but once i found out it was stewart playing bella, i thought she was absolutley perfect. she was exactley what i pictured bella to be. i think they will do GREAT together. the movie will be spectacular…. ^_^

I love Robert Pattison as Edward but to tell you the turth i dont think Kristen Stewart is the right Bella at all it just throws off what Bella is so hate her; sorry. I wasn’t so pleased with Jacob at first because i imagined him bigger and buffer and taller but in one picture i saw of him he was pretty perfect for jacob. Emmet i feel should have looked buffer too and i imagined Alice with longer hair even though thats not in the book and Rosline prettier and Jasper with blonde hair but cut…

i thought Robert is a GOOD choice for Edward, but definitley not what i imagined edward as. Kristen is i GUESS an ok choice for bella, but honestly, i always imagined bella like me, a brunette (TAKE THAT BLONDES! emmett may prefer blondes, but edward is brunette ALL the way!!!!!!!!), sorta smart, but never really top in anything, a TOTAL klutz, kinda guy-shy, and prefers to have guys as friends, and never really TOTALLY fitting in but waiting for her moment to shine, and keeps bad things for herself, and joking when the situation wants to make everyone cry, and over-all: totally ordinary and not really anything extraordinary, but extremely happy the way she is. im in love with these books and the order of my favorites is 1. TWILIGHT!!! 2. Eclipse 3. Breaking Dawn 4. New Moon (i hate jacob so i hate new moon). twilight is my favorite because it was bella and edward ONLY. there was no jacob crap or renesmee or anything, it was just edward and bella trying to make something totally impossible work, there were so many more romantic parts in this book than there were in any other book (including breaking dawn even though they finally did IT). hope you guys like my comment!

Look, i am a mashoosive twilight fan, edward may not be the exact edward, the way i pictured him, but i think they couldnt really get anyone better, your all just jelous thats what i think. Well, (commenting on the comment above mine) When I first googled Edward, I too was a little displeased.. I pictured more Gothic Greek bigger build and a little taller……
Now, seeing all the trailers, interviews, pics, hearing him talk, etc.. I am a huge suckered fan 🙂

okay so, i have some thoughts about the characters….(none of the optional actors i have chosen are necissarily better for the part because of their acting, more just their appearance and presence)
Bella – i love how kristen stewart looks in the trailers and pictures, everything about her to me is just bella, but i really hate the way she talks, its not right at all. ANOTHER OPTION FOR BELLA:
Edward – well my opinion isnt very valid, because i knew who was playing edward before i read the books, so i had always pictured him as edward, so hes just exactly who he should be. and the way they describe his hair, and his crooked smile, pattinson has that down ANOTHER OPTION FOR EDWARD: (since ive picture him exactly like that from the start, i dont have any suggestions)
jacob – hes not so important in the first movie, and i think that taylor lautner should be really good for jacob, i dont know what theyre going to do for when he’s supposed to be big and tall, unless they wanna give that kid some freaky human growth harmone stuff ANOTHER OPTION FOR JACOB – i cant think of any because i really do like the look and the big grin of taylor lautner
charlie – charlie sort of just that average guy, so i think that billy burke will do, he is sort of odd looking though ANOTHER OPTION FOR CHARLIE: dennis quaid, John C. McGinley
carlisle – ive seen some pictures of peter facinelli as carlisle, and i love him, but ive seen pictures of him where hes not all made up and professionally photographed for twilight, and im not completely sure, i ADORE him in the pictures though, i could never really picture him while i read them, but i thought it was perfect ANOTHER OPTION FOR CARLISLE: now i know this is too ‘small’ (?) movie for him, but i think id love Leonardo Dicaprio, no matter how old he is, cause he doesnt look old at all and i love him, Alex O’Loughlin (whos already played a good vampire before, so he should be used to it) James Marsden<3
esme – i really dont like this elizabeth reaser, i just really didnt like her in greys anatomy, and shes kind of pretty i guess, but if you really look at her shes actually really ugly, and definately not vampire, but she does seem maternal enough..i guess ANOTHER OPTION FOR ESME: Lauren Graham, Anne Hathaway(?)
rosalie – i do not like the choice of nikki reed at all…..i dont want to be too mean, but she has a terrible nose, and shes pretty, but i wouldnt be so critical if it werent for the fact that she is constantly described as the most beautiful girl on the planet, enough to make everyone around her take a hit at their self esteem, well shes just not that girl, now i must say i dont like the character of rosalie, and it wouldnt matter to me if i wasnt so in love with every detail about twilight(of course rosalie has the same problem as edward, and i guess all the other vampires, there are just no humans that are beautiful enough) ANOTHER OPTION FOR ROSALIE: Rachel McAdams (she could be esme as well, just maybe not old enough looking..still either would be fantastic), Hayden Pannetiere, Blake Lively, Joanna Krupa
emmett – i think i like kellan lutz for emmett, hes not very pretty in some pictures, but i think he’ll do, it would be better if he had longer curly hair, but i read somehwere that he didnt have time to grow it out after his last movie or something along those lines. ANOTHER OPTION FOR EMMETT:james lafferty (even tho hes busy on one tree hill) tom welling(could be carlisle, if rachel mcadams were esme, then they would both look around the same age)
alice – i really do like ashley greene for alice, shes not quite short enough though, her face is quite ‘pixie like’ so i think its a good choice, i dont like the way they did her hair for the movie though, ANOTHER OPTION FOR ALICE: kristen bell, rachel leigh cook
jasper – ive only seen one picture that i like the look of jackson rathbourne for jasper, hes supposed to be very tall, and almost as burly as emmett, and well he looks kind of (this is too strong of a word but you get my point) ‘dweeby’ at times, only in the sense that he seems to be making weird faces, hes just not the sulky sexy mysterious jasper he should be ANOTHER OPTION FOR JASPER: i honestly dont know, maybe trent ford(?) or shawn ashmore…
james – think hes great, pretty, plain features exactly like they should be
laurent – love him, i adore his dreadlocks<3 they’re great
victoria – shes very very pretty and i think shes almost perfect, shes just not dangerous enough looking because of her cute features, also they like dyed her hair more blonde, compared to her red hair before, if anything they should have made it way MORE red, like flames
jessica- i do like anna kendrick as jessica, her look is exactly that girl that thinks theres nothing more to life than gossip and boys…although the book says she has wild curly hair, i think jessica would be just like kendrick ANOTHER OPTION FOR JESSICA: lauren storm, alexa nikolas(?iffy, kinda young, if she was older, she might actually look like a bella even)
angela – i think chistian serratos is perfect for angela (just maybe not quite tall enough) because she looks nice, quite and honest, like she stays out of all the drama nonsense of high school ANOTHER OPTION FOR ANGELA: i can’t think of anyone, no one off the top of my head at least
mike – i think mike is pretty good, kinda funny looking, but the more funny looking all the people of forks are, the more beautiful the cullens look right? ANOTHER OPTION FOR MIKE: chris lowell (though hes a little prettier than mike should be)
renee – think sarah clarke has the right look, just seems too responsible for renee ANOTHER OPTION FOR RENEE: Moira Kelly.
eric – i justin chon is too pretty to be eric, i pictured him more geeky and greasy and pimply, but maybe thats just me ANOTHER OPTION FOR ERIC: i dont really know but someone like Chirstopher Mintz-Plasse
k well probably no one read that, but i just needed to get that out there haha…………………….i still think the movie will be amazing with the cast they chose, they’re good for the attempt to find absolutely perfect inhumanely beautiful people to be just like the characters

I think ROBERT PATTISON is just PERFECT! You say those things know, but when the movie comes you’ll be “OMG, Robert Pattison is sooo Hot!” (which by the way is true) and blah blah. If you’re reading this robert, I’ll always be your fan, don’t let those stupid comments put you down. It is true that no one could ever portrait Edward, but you’re as close as it gets. You’re even almost like I imagined him. And KRISTEN STEWART is the perfect Bella.

And Kristen if you’re reading this, I think I wrote too little last time. But I love you too, I just love Edward more. You’re great. I love everything about TWILIGHT. If you don’t like Robert, or Kristen well then you really aren’t real TWILIGHT fans. I must remeber to you all, that STEPHENIE MEYERS was the one who wrote this book not you, she was there when they were picking the cast members, If she didn’t think Kristen, Rob, Taylor, etc. were not perfectly how she meant them to be. Okay that is not Edward at all, he acts like a total stuck up jerk! Edward is suppose to be breath taking and very kind, cute and protective. The Edward that was picked is all wrong! I mean look at him that is not an edward!! I’m so freaking mad!! Jacob Black looks way better then Edward in this movie. As for Bella, she is okay…but her voice drives me crazy! They don’t like the cute couple they are in the book, they act more annoying and like trying to be better then one another….if that makes sense. Twilight is the best book i have ever read. Just like Bella i am waiting for my Edward. I have gotten almost all of my friends addicted. I love Twilight and can’t wait till it comes out. Any other person who has read it will say the same. Edward(Robert Patterson) is like so hot. My friends and i love them all and can’t wait to see it. We even filmed a Twilight Spoof trailer and enjoyed it so much. I hope everyone else feels this way. GO TEAM EDWARD! If you have not read the book I strongly advise it and so will anyone else who has read it. ENJOY!

I think the choice for Edward and Kristen is brilliant. The movie turned out great. Remember that the perfect guy in the Twilight series doesn’t really exist, so cut this guy a break. Robert did as good, maybe better, than anyone else could have :] And Kristen did a great job as Bella.

sorry about the db post didn’t realize that the first one posted. But it is a point worth stating twice anyway. I saw the movie before I read the series. After reading the other three books in the series I could see.. Rob as Edward BUT there was always something off. I could see it but it was a little forced becasue I saw him in the role. Since to me somethng was off I decided to look and see if anyone else was considered for the role . That is when I saw the post about Chance Crawford ( I didn’t even know he was the guy from Gossip until I clicked on his name as saw his pic. But when I did I was like that’s Edward nothing was off. He is what I pictured Edward Cullen to look like TOTALY!! !! Crawford totaly Cullen.

omg the movie was fantastic, i loved it soo much and especially with robert pattison he is like so totally hot, i think the choice for edward and bella was great plz dont change them!!!, and i loved it sooo much!!! the best part was when james (tracker) was smashing edward against the mirror and james says “your alone! thats bcuz ur faster then the others, but not stronger!!” and edward turns his head, stares deeply in his eyes (so hot at tht point) and says “im strong enough to kill you” then boom he hits james straight in the mirror!!!
also when they were playing baseball, alice was mad ass when she was pitching!!
and ofcourse when bella was about to get smashed by the car and edward gets to her puts his arm around her and palms of the car so totally awesome!!

I thought that the book was WAY better then the movie.
I WAS expecting it would be, but I think they got a few of the parts wrong.
For example,
Edward Cullen, he is supposed to be te most dreamy person EVER, and I didnt get that from Robert Pattinson, though he did play his part very well.
Jasper, wasnt he supposed to be extremely attractive? I thought he was ok looking, but not an AMAZINGLY dreamy person, that I would LOVE at first sight.
Carlisle, I like the name, and it sounds really cool for a vampire. But seriously, in the book when they said ” he should have been a model rather than a doctor” I didnt really get that from him. Though he was another who played his part very well.
Now for the ones that I thought were amazing!
Bella, she wasnt supposed to be VERY attractive but she wasnt supposed to be ugly. I thought they picked a very good person to play her, BUT! Her voice was so mono-tone throughout the whole movie!.
EMMETT!!! I LOVED emmet in the movie, he was supposed to be a buff dark haired guy, and thats what he was. I thought they did an AMAZING job at picking him.
These are just my opinions, dont hate me please 🙂

Omds. Kristen Stewart is TERRIBLE as Bella. She takes drugs ffs, and she’s meant to be a role model for teenagers! Michael Copon from Scorpion 2 (wtf?) Is apparently top of the list of Jacob replacements.
My opinion – That sucks! Replace Kristen Stewart damn it! Taylor Lautner is lovely & makes a brilliant Jacob. As others have said, the actor of Hagrid in Harry potter is obviously not a giant – they just used special effects and padding. Twilight has made so much money – i think they can afford the budget!

Sorry, but the Edward in the movies is nothing like the Edward described so well in the books. He should have been someone with a perfect body, a perfect face, and perfect teeth… after all, we read thousands of pages extolling the perfection of this person. Instead, we got stuck with a skinny, dumpy looking guy with a screwed up nose, messed up teeth, and just a generally wierd-shaped face. Not attractive in the least bit and DEFINITELY nowhere near the Roman God-like perfection I’d expected. Bella was pretty spot-on with the descriptions in the book, but all the other characters really were lacking in MAJOR ways. What a disappointment.

Twilight is so awesome I hope they make another one. I had to watch it twice in one night it was so good. I like vampire movies anyway. I never read the book but the movie was so good that I think I am going to have to pick up the book and read it.

Kristen stewart is totaly hot ane exactly how i imagined her when i read d books! I think Robert Pattinson is perfect for the role of Edward Cullen, my aunty is really good friends with Catherine Hardwicke and so I was allowed on the set of Twilight. it was SOOOOOO much fun, I joked around with Robert and got my whole Twilight collection signed by everyone. But I feel Kristen Stewart was wrong for the part of Bella. They where shooting the baseball scene, and Kristen went off for a smoke *Yes she does smoke ciggarettes, not sure about other……items*, and she came back for the next take and people complained about the stench. It was putrided. I was sitting about 20-30 feet away and I could smell it. It was down right putrided. But besides that, I loved Kristen *When she didnt stink of cancerous chemicals* we hung out and had SOOOOOOOOOOOO MUCH fun, I’ve got like a thousand photos and we talked for so long, I think it was after she turned 18, and they’d finished for the day that we sat down and talked for like 4 straight hours. It was fun hanging out with the cast. My favourite people to hang out with where Jackson & Ashley. Jackson is sooo funny, and Ashley, I could confess anything too. I’m going back with my Aunty over to the set of New Moon, soon. I wasn’t planning too, but they asked for me back. Which was really sweet. The Twilight cast where an excellent group to hang out with, they where so mature and child-ish at the same time. I had a really good time and I’m looking forward to go back over to the New Moon set soon. 🙂

This movie was terrible! The books are even worse!
Did they even think to gather up anybody who could actually act for these films?

Apparently teens are into unrealistic romance with a girl whom society callously misunderstands (BELLA). I think, twilight, er sucked, but the little girls like it so….Anne Rice novels are way better and Lestat is more interesting and intense than Edward. Stephanie Meyer is not a good author so I beg you not follow her footsteps. Maybe with success but not with writing.

Well If anyone had half a brain which that might be to much.. Kristen was a great choice and since no ones the Author of this great story… Stephenie Meyer by the way invisioned kristen and Rob as her charaters. She was in the process of making the movies as well. So for all you non fans read a little harder or get your eyes checked, and its not about who’s hot all those people have something over all ye complianers They can act, and there getting paid so shut up!
