oh my gosh i comepletly love it i cant wat for it to come out she has really out done her self on that one discribing every thing. it felt like is was there like an audeance . wow i still cant believe it that was…………….. amazing i want to read it again!!!!

This is soooo great i cannot wait till they all come out i want to read them all….they are so addicting and the storyi s sad happy funny and suspensful all at the same time!!! I think she is the best writer i have ever read and every time i finish book i cannot wait to get the next one!!! I love all the characters, expecialy now that Jasper and Alise are together, I realy wabt Edward to turn her into a vampire already, though i see why he does’nt, i heard there were movies of these books but I do not think i want to see them because it will ruin how i imagine the characters. I want to know what is going to happen to Jacob and Bella, but i like her and Edward together more.

I went to a YA conference and was told that this was a MUST READ…I am soooooo sorry that I waited a few weeks…I finished twilight in a day and a half and went to three different book stores to find new moon because I HAD to know more…I am a 9th grade English teacher and have always been an avid reader…I love Anne Rice (she is the author that hooked me into reading and the first one that I could actually visualize the story in my head as it unfolded on paper)…Stephenie Meyer has reignited that same flame inside of me, only this time she has allowed, better yet made me absolutley OBSESSED with the characters. I am hopelessly in love with Edward (as is the rest of the women who read him I am sure), but also the couple, I am rooting for Bella and Edward to make it in a world that does not accept them for what they are. To me, theirs is a love that is unmatched in our world. If only we could be loved and love like the fictional characters in the world of twilight do.

i have to ammit i not a big fan of books..every time
i have a book i never finish it..but now i’ve discovered
the kind of book that i like..TWILIGHT!!!!when i first saw how long was the book i said to myself OMG, i’m never going to finish this…but once i stared reading twilight
..i have to tell you, REALLY…i could NOT stop reading, it was like a movie in my head, cause once you’re reading it you forget what time is it and the things you have to do. you just get transported to a whole new world!!
i even forgot to do my homeworks + projects. i finished it on 3 days and bought it!!
when i brought moonlight.. OMG!! i finished on 2 DAYS!!..i’m now totally in love
with EDWARD CULLEN!!. even though i don’t know how he’s face looks like. but
the way he talks to bella, and acts is hearthrobing!..i really admired stephenie meyer
because twilight, being her first book..it’s really impresing the way she wrote it and how
many people enjoy and love twilight..

OMG! i love the preview for MidNight dun! its AMAZING! ive always wanted to know how Edward felt! i love the books so much! i read them as many times as i can. its so romantic, and all my friends love it to. there are so many kids walking around with them. im so excited, cause i convinced my librarian to put twilight and New moon on the shelves, and shes even agreed to get eclipse! im so excited!

O My Gosh! I can’t wait till Eclipse comes out, but August seems just so far away! Hey and does anyone know when the book “Midnight Sun” will be in stores, I know that shes (Stephanie Meyer) is probly still writing the book, but I was just wondering if she gave an estimation of when it would come out.
Oh and about the 1st chapter of Eclipse, thats in the New Edition of New Moon and that came into stores on May 5th.

hey Nikki, theres one problem about that, when i was reading it i was trying to copy it and paste it for a friend, but i couldn’t then i found that the reason why i couldn’t do that beacuse it illegal to make another copy of the story it to print it! So im sorry…but maybe someone can find a way..srry!

I’m sorry you are having trouble with the PDF. Try updating your version of Adobe Reader making sure its current. A few people have had trouble getting this to work, but I am not sure why or how to help them, Good luck.

Stephenie, I have to hand it to you. . . . .THAT WAS AMAZING!!!! i wish there was one for Jacob Black too!!!! You could get feelings from both conflicts!! Werewolf and Vampire! Now that would be amazing! What are they saying it won’t be published?! It has to!! The series wont be complete without it!!!

I don’t know if there will be a twilight movie. I know that MTV got the rightts to it, a year or so ago but there has been no new news.
Midnight Sun is being written right now. Stephenie Meyer is not even sure she will finish it or publish it. I think it will happen.

OMG. I love her books. I didn’t catch on to them untill later and this week I read Twilight New moon and Eclipse in the spand of 6 days. I have completly fallin in love with this series. and Im curiouse. I know breaking dawn comes out october 2008. but when does midnight sun come out? and incase you didn’t know. THERE PLANNING ON MAKING A MOVIES. of this series. Kinda like they did with harry potter. Im so thrilled. Me and my friends all decided wed go and watch it premier night. To show our support. There’s only 5 books in the series. It’s Breaking Dawn, and Midnight Sun. Midnight Sun, the fifth, is in Edward’s point of view.

OMG!!! i LOVE THESE BOOKS TOO! The ending for eclipse wasn’t really cool… Well i can’t wait for the fourth book!!! It’s called “braking dawn”. I hope its cool! It seemed kinda mean how bella fell in luv with both jacob and edward… ='( It seems like she’s toying with edwards heart! Poor edward. okay. these books are the most addicting thing in the world. I totally think that Stephanie Meyer should put Forever Dawn on her website. I know it’s not published, and it won’t be(probably), but still. There are some people out there that need something good to read. And even though it has parts that don’t make sense, the readers will still have fun reading it. It’s like a similar, but different version of New Moon. And I think that’s AWSOME! Cause when ever someone writes, they always have different versions of there stories. And I’d like to see how much the first version of a real book is like.

jacob just sounds more like he would be better for bella to me. i know she loves edward and stuff but that’s just how i feel. she doesn’t have to give anything up to be with jacob except her not being a vampire but with edward she has to give everything up except edward. if she goes with jacob she can still have edward there but she just isn’t married to him. unless i missed something in the book that’s how i think. there’s more good than bad with her staying with jacob.

i agree with you on that she wouldn’t have to give up as much if she was with jacob. but think about this. if she does turn into a vampire, edward would help her become a ‘vegetarian’ like they are. eventually she would be able to go back and see her family and go to college because she’s not tempted anymore. so she would have to give up a lot of stuff for a while but eventually she would get it all back.

I would probably wait till after college cause i would wanna be normal for a while, but it might be different if i knew edward personally. and i think i could fight a little more dirty than you and trish combined. : )

Henry Cavill just doesn’t appeal to me. i don’t get how you don’t think the wallpaper guy is hott. he is totally HOTT!!!!!!!!!!!!! and hayden christensen is my first choice to play edward but i don’t think it will happen cause he’s to old to play edward’s character. : (

i heard that bella does turn into a vampire in the fourth book but don’t listen to me. i don’t really have that reliable of a source. i think that the book we’ll be about bella and edward having marriage issues and then jacob will come back and bella won’t know what to do. but in the end i think bella and edward will get married because i don’t stephanie won’t want to let her fans down. practically everyone wants to see them together. at least i hope stephanie will do that because everyone of her fans will be mad at her for doing that. i know i would be mad if she made bella and jacob get together in the end. bella and edward are meant for eachother.

at first i didn’t want her to become a vampire either, but then in the third book it gave a visual of her being her grandmothers age while he was still 17 looking. so that wasn’t a very good visual so now i kind of do want her to become a vampire cause then they will be the same age forever. and i tell yah, reading the books over again for a second time was a big mistake cause now i’m way to anxious for the fourth book to come out. i really wish stephenie would just hurry up with it. i think she forget about the book she’s working on now and just think about writing more for the twilight series.

yea i do want her to wait a little too. i think she should at least go college and then do it after college. but if she waits she might find someone else or figure out she’s in love with jacob more than edward and then edward would be out of the story. which that would make me really sad : ( so i really don’t know what i want her do. I’m already going insane!!!!!!!! in the book i’m reading now one of the characters names is billy so whenever i read that i think of jacob which makes me think of bella which makes me think of edward. 😦 that makes me sad again.

that’s why i don’t want her to change for while. i think that if she thought about it she would choose to stay with jacob but that won’t happen.i think that a lot of people would be mad if bella went for jacob. if that does happen, there has to be a happy ending for edward too or everyone will hate the books. in this situation there is no way that everyone can happy. someone has to be left out and in this case it is probably going to be jacob. i don’t want it to happen but it probably will.

yea, i agree with you. but like bella said she can’t live without edward. it was easier for her to leave jacob than it was for her to leave edward. yea she cried for jacob that night but she sort of got over it the next day. when she tried to leave edward she would always think about him and would always act like she was going to fall into a million pieces. so i think she’ll stay with edward. but, yea it will probably be jacob who gets left out, which i’m kind of glad that he might get left out.

i don’t know if this is just how i am but i think that there needs to be some way that jacob ends up being happy. i don’t think that it’s fair that jacob gets left out just because he isn’t who bella is attracted to. i know that bella is going to go with edward but i’m hoping that she’ll at least get to talk to jacob before she changes. i’m hoping that jacob ran to bella and she’ll talk to him then.

Ok so i know how every one feels…because from my first day of eight grade(A year ago) I have been completely and incurably in love with the twilight saga. I have to agre with what i read some where among the billion posts up at the top that if midnight sun doesn’t get published i’m going on strike…it’s hard enought that i have to WAIT for it if it never gets published i no longer wish to read any other book…twilight and new moon, and eclispe is all that goes through my head twenty-four seven!
I think that putting the book in edwards Point of View is a beautiful plus..edwards mind is so much more complex than bella, even though personally i think bella has a really perceptual mind. Waiting for Midnght Sun is going to be hard!
Well i have to go but i will reply on more crazy ness about my ridiculase (can’t spell) Obsession with Twilight and the rest of the Saga.

OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am gonna freak out if i have to wait any longer for the fourth book to come out. I’ve read all three books twice each already and i am trying really hard not to read them again but i am losing big time. i am like so close to picking up twilight again and reading it. They are just to good to read once and then leave it alone forever. I’m still a little upset with who they have for edward. he’s growing on me, but he still doesn’t fit the edward i was picturing when i was reading the books. by the time the movie comes out i’ll probably think he’ll be okay for the character. well i’m gonna go try and get my mind off of these books, but i don’t think it will work. oh well. it’s not that bad having these books on my mind 24/7 because they’re so good.

if someone is looking for a good book to read to get their mind off of the twilight books then you should read ‘the pact’ by jodi picoult. it is soooooo good. and dard angel girl it would be a good one for you cause it’s a romance novel. lol but yea it got my mind off of the twilight books for a while until i was done with it. now i keep thinking of them. man they are way to addicting.
about the movie being rated r, i don’t see why. i mean nothing bad happens except in the end when she gets thrown around by james. other than that i would think it would be pg or at the most pg-13. it doesn’t make sense that it’s rated r.

Hey yeah i know why it wil be rated R if it is. See if a movie has Vampire Violence it will be considered a rated r movie. If any one has ever seen “Queen of the Damned” you would knowthat. but some people don’t. It’s not really that big of a deal what rating it is. Unless you have strict PG13 parents. if so i feel for you.
i think that no one can portray the edward of my mind. he’s too perfect. And when i watch it i know that i am going to be the most cryptic person in the world because i have read the series many many times, too many to count on fingers and toes. lol. it is too good to put down. ive deprived my self of a lot of sleep for a long time but i don’t mind that much. Edward and Bella and Jacob and the cullens and the La Push gang are so worth the time.

that guy would be great as edward. he is so hot. LDS stands for Latter-Day Saint. it’s the church that i belong to. if you’ve heard any utah jokesthey are mostly about the LDS faith. people gave us the mickname Mormons like 150 years ago. that’s more common. we were told a few years ago that we shouldn’t watch R-rated movies because of the content so if twilight is rated R, i won’t go see it.

I read Twi;ight,New Moon, and Eclipse all in one day each. I so can’t wait for Breaking Dawn and Midnight Sun to come out! I might go crazy having to wait until September.I LOVE Edward and it will take too long to explain every reason why,but basically he’s selfless, hot,funny,kind,amazing,and totally PERFECT! I can’t stand Jacob because he’s obnoxious and rude.(Sorry Jacob fans thats how it is.)Umm…it says on Stephanie Meyer’s website that Robert Pattison is cast as Edward. Uggghhhh! I am allowed to watch rated R movies, but I can’t get into them without my parents and they will so not want to watch it! I will literally go INSANE if I have to wait for it to come out on dvd!Does anyone else have this pathetic dilemma?

HaHaHa!!! Everyone on here should totally be jealous of me! Well actually because I think I’m like Bella in a lot of ways.Only I’m a few inches shorter, a few years younger and have green eyes insted of brown,but that’s even better cause it says that Edward had green eyes before he was a vampire! Oh yeah I have the same color hair as Bella,the same color skin,and this is totally creepy but for a long time I have had the same exact description of the scar on Bella’s palm where Jame’s bit her.(I’ll just pretend that I didn’t accidentally cut my hand on broken glass a couple years ago.shhh!lol) Yeah so basically I’m still waiting for Edward to show up.Okay, now I’m done with my fantasy trip. Okay i understand now, then i really hope that they don’t make it rated R. Every one should be able to go and see twilight, it will probably be the movie of it’s time. If you can give me the email address to the producer who is doing twilight i will totaly email him and tell him the religous reasons why it should be rated P13. Also i will write and explain the younger croud that will be able to go see it and intern him make more money. Or you could i don’t care who does it. as long as someone makes this guy understand the boundaries that he’s crossing.

OMG!!!! okay it’s starting to get annoying with everyone saying that they’re mad about the pic for edward. no one they pick will physically be the edward that we all pictured. personally i think that he will do pretty well. he was good in harry potter and he will do good in twilight. The only thing that’s probaqbly throwing us off is the picture that they have of him. it’s not the most flattering picture of him. people always look better in movies because it’s not a still photo. but yea, he will do good.
about it being rated r, that it totally stupid. even though my parents will probably let me see it, so i’m not in any pickle with it being rated r. but it’s still stupid. there’s nothing bad in the books.

Hey i didn’t know that Stephanie is a LDS, but it’s pretty cool to know more about my favorite author so thanks for that information. hey i found out why some people told me that it was going to be ratd R. you guys made me want to know for sure since you hadn’t heard that yet. there was a movie made in the 90’s that is called twilight and that movie is rated R. i haven’t found a rating for our twilight movie yet. i still haven’t heard from the production company so i’ll look for another address to ask them if it’s true. but for now i don’t think that there is a rating for our movie yet.

to the two polls i like eclipse the best. but twilight isn’t far behind. to the second poll i think bella will be changed by edward but not completely die. as for the characters. i like who they have for bella. she’s kind of what i pictured bella to look like except with brown hair. as for the person that they have to play edward. he’s growing on me. he looks ugly in his pictures but then on screen he’s not to bad. he was pretty cute in harry potter. anyways i hope it’s a good movie and i really want it to come out soon. the book and movie are coming out way to late in the year. stephenie needs to move the release date up to like february. then it wouldn’t make me crazy waiting for them to come out.

i think that jacob will come to stop the wedding, the head vampire dudes come, they see that bella isn’t changed yet so they are going to do it or kill her, jacob tries to stop it and then he dies. so now the triangle is gone. but there’s still the issue of bella not being a vampire yet so edward has to change her. that’s what i think.

i think that jacob is going to come to wedding just to come. he said that he would be ‘good’ from now on so i think he’ll stay to his word. bella and edward will get married but the changing won’t happen for a while. the volturi will come down see that she’s not changed and edward and them will get into a big fight because the volturi will want to kill her. of course edward will win just because he’s edward. : ) and then bella and edward will live happily ever after.

hey ya’ll have really good theories on what ya’ll think isgoingto happen. I love reading what ya’ll think it’s really cool. I think that edward kills jake becaus he ‘turns’ during the wedding or something, and while every one is scatter ing from wolf jake edward will have to try to restrain jake but jake won’t let edward and they end up fighting and bella tries to step between them or at least snap jake out of his ‘wolf anger’ then she gets pushed by jake, of course he can’t help it but he doesn’t mean to hurt her justget her out of the way, and then edward gets super mad at jake and kills. him…i wonder.. Has any one ever thought of what would bella do if one or the other dies? You can so count that as a post question.

i don’t really want jacob to die. even though he gets on my nerves because he’s trying to steal bella away from edward. but he’s a cool person if you put that behind. plus i don’t want bella to get hurt emotionally, or physically for that matter. i don’t really think edward would do that either. he doesn’t want to hurt bella that way. he knows that it would devastate bella if anything happened to jacob and i don’t think he would risk her getting mad at him. i want jacob to be in the fourth book but not in the way that he has been in the last few. he needs to get over the fact that bella is with edward and he doesn’t have a chance with her and give up. i want him to be civilized in the fourth book and just be a friend.

i remember the one time i moved away from godley, i was ballling my eyes out because i loved every one in godley so much, and i just didn’t want to leave. When they called my name to go to the office for ‘dismissal’ i’m pretty sure i almost screamed…i dont like godley but for some reason, i cant and wont leave it.

i fell the same way as you. I absolutely LLLLOOOOVVVVEEEE these books but i sometimes wish i didn’t read them so i wasn’t so attached to them. it’s wierd too. ever since i fell in love with edward, i can’t seem to get away from that name. everywhere i go i read something with the name edward in it or hear it somewhere. it really makes me sad because he’s one he’s not a real person and two it just remindes me of the books. and then i think that i have like another 8 months to go before the book comes out and then i get even more sad. ughhhh, this is really bumming me out. i can’t take it anymore. i’m gonna die. i’ve been thinking about reading all three of them again. that would be my fourth time reading all of them, but i’m obsessed with these books. i can’t help wanting to read them. i’ve been trying to read other books, but my mind always goes back to these books. it’s kind of sad actually. but i really wish stephenie would hurry up.

i have just reread all of them again in a weekend. i think that i am a little attatched to them. which is weird for me because i normally don’t like girly books and i don’t get that into love stories. i want edward to be real so bad. it’s insane. the other day my guy friend said something that reminded me of edward and i was gawking at him the whole day. i’m pretty sure that i drove him crazy.

UHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH I was reading To Kill A mocking Bird, and it’ really good, but i think Im going insane. All I think about are those books! (and other stuff too, but barely). I must have a serious problem and i need to get a therapist!!! Some songs remind me of the books like the song by One Republic, too late to say goodbye or something; in the second book were edward comes back and he’s asking bella if she still loves him.

i just read “to kill a mocking bird” too. i liked that a lot. one book that i found a while ago that i liked was “look for me by moonlight”. it’s about a vampire named edward so it stopped my crave for the “real” edward for a while.

if i were to read that book “look for me by moonlight” i would only be thinking about edward from twilight whenever i read about the edward from that book.

okay i just read info on the movie and they are making the most stupidest part. they’re having edward swing bella on his back and then run on top of the trees, and that’s where he tells bella he’s a vampire. that is nothing like the book. i think it’s so stupid. in the book bella tells him her theory that she thinks he’s a vampire in the cafeteria of the school and then he tells her it’s true. i do not like how they’re doing it in the movie at all!!!!

i think that part is out of place. yes edward is strong but he’s trying not to scare the crap out of bella so why would he go running through the treetops with her in his back? the only place that this would fit in sort of is when they go to the clearing and edward runs with her on his back to get back to the truck. but the way they say it’s going to work sounds dumb.

I am really excited for the movie but sometimes i feel like not going to it cause if it’s not good i don’t want it to screw up the whole image i have of the books. i’ll probably go see it though cause i want to see how edward turns out and plus it will make a good movie. all the action in the end with james almost killing her and edward saving her. it should be awesome. OMG!!!!!! crystal borque. i know the series is like totally awesome, but how could you have read the books 84 times?????? you’d have to be reading them like non-stop. i would get a headache. i’ve read them three times but i’m going on my fourth. i can’t wait until breaking dawn comes out!!!!!! i agree with all of you that stephenie should write more books in this series. they’re just to good to stop writing. i really hope that the movie is good also. if it’s bad that will like totally ruin my perspective on the books. anyways, i gotsta go. tty peeps later.

I have to admit that I’m very very obsessed with the Twilight series and the author writing style. I finished reading all three book in less than a week and I’m still rereading them over and over whenever I have time. I can’t wait to read the Midnight Sun to learn about Edward’s side of the story. The first chapter of Midnight Sun is phenomenal and Meyer was right: it is more interesting than Bella’s side of the story. I am also interested to see how Bella turns out as a “newborn vampire” in the coming book Breaking Dawn. However, I have the feeling that every thing happened in the Twilight series were just Bella’s dreams at the end of the saga (based on the fact that Bella dreams very frequently and she is usually mixes up dreams and reality). If that was the case, I will be very very very disappointed.

story so addicting i started writing my own story. probably no good. wrote 1st paragraph in algebra instead of sleeping. lol, not really! just wasn’t paying attention in class! it’s about this vamp boy who goes to a vampire camp and finds out that one of the campers is human. now he has to either choose between letting the other vamp campers kill her or turn her into a vampire. but he has to decide before her secret that she’s human gets out. did i mention he fell in love with her?

As I hummed, I could feel Bella relaxing in my arms. She was so fragile, so delicate. Soon her heartbeat slowed and her breathing became even as she drifted to sleep. I smiled to myself, remembering the tone of her words as she asked if I found her attractive; her lack of self-awareness amused me. If she only knew how attractive she is to everyone; how she calls to me in so many ways…
I inhaled, enjoying the scent of her slightly damp hair. The smell of her blood was still overpowering, but the monster in me was quiet. No longer would it control me – the new strength I’d found easily kept my burning throat in check.
Bella’s warmth radiated through me as she slept, creating a feeling of belonging that reached into my core. I wanted time to stop right now – there was no place else I ever wanted to be but with her. Her breathing changed, and her eyes began to vibrate beneath her lovely eyelids.
She was dreaming.
I so wished I could hear her dreams, what her subconscious was telling her about me. Was she remembering today, the fear that I instilled in her? Part of me, the practical part, prayed that she was.
I truly didn’t deserve her, and she didn’t deserve to live in the constant danger my proximity meant.
She deserved so much more…
But I couldn’t leave her now. The other part of me, my quiet, cold heart, told me that there was no life for me without her. I’d never wanted for anything before; but now, I knew that everything I was before her was empty. She completed me, made me whole. Now that I knew what that felt like, I couldn’t go back to the way I was. The change was irreversible.
“Not for me,” she whispered in her sleep.
Ah, the frustration was sharp. What was she dreaming about? I gently stroked her hair and waited for more.
“So beautiful. Mmmm, Edward.”
The familiar electricity that I felt whenever Bella said my name returned – amplified by the fact that she was asleep, so vulnerable here in my arms. It was good that my heart was silent; if not, it would be pounding so loud now that she would undoubtedly wake.
“I love you, Edward,” she sighed, and her sleeping face became angelic.
The force of her words rendered me breathless. We’d made our feelings clear, both in words and in actions, but nothing had prepared me for the power such a simple statement had. She loves me.
For so long I couldn’t understand Bella’s hold on me, why she fascinated me so. Even though I had succumbed to her magnetism, I still couldn’t see why she drew me in. She loves me. Now, like the sun rising, everything became clear. She was what I’d been searching for.
I’d thought it was just a coincidence that I’d encountered her; that random chance had thrown us together in this rainy little town. Somehow her simple statement had erased my confusion and I realized that somehow I’d been seeking her out. Decades that had seemingly been spent travelling, learning, sifting through mind after mind, had really been spent searching – trying to find her.
And now she was here, in my arms, safely dreaming. She loves me. The feeling of completeness filled me again, accompanied by another, unfamiliar, yet deeply satisfying warmth. Finally I managed a breath.
“I love you, Bella,” I barely breathed into her sleeping ear.
“Forever,” she whispered contently.
Excitement now filled my heart at hearing this word; it leapt up, grasping at hope – but I immediately chastised it. The thrill of her innocent dreams now calmed as the image I’d seen in Alice’s mind returned. My beautiful Bella, so pale and cold, with golden eyes… forever.
Before the argument in my mind could start again, I felt Bella take a deep breath. She started to roll over, so I carefully slid away from her. As she turned to face where I’d been, her breathing slowed and her eyes were still. The dreaming was over for now. Would she remember any of it in the morning?
Though I longed to touch her face again, I stepped back and sat in the rocking chair instead. The argument now started in my mind, between the moral Edward and the selfish, hungry Edward. The hunger was not for her blood this time, but for her touch. The urge to stroke her skin, kiss her lips, hold her tight was nearly unbearable. I wanted to be so close to her that we would never be separated again – ever. My imagination took me where I longed to be…
I could ask Carlisle to do it. No longer would her blood call out to me, calling to the monster within me. Only her beauty would beckon me, the look in her eyes. I could hold her tight, not worrying about crushing her papery thin bones. I could kiss her the way I so desired to… tasting so much more than just her lips… forever.
Alice had seen it…
And my heart told me that Bella would want it too, she would endure the pain for me; give up her life, her soul, willingly for me.
And that’s where the daydream ended and the argument continued. She didn’t deserve this unending night, forever damned. Heaven wasn’t meant for me, and I wouldn’t do anything that would keep her perfect soul from going to the one place I was barred. Forever was not for us. Sadness washed over me. Was there no middle ground?
There is the present. I was comforted that I would be with her as long as she would have me. I could be selfish and take pleasure in her love as completely as possible today. My chest filled with love for her again. No matter how my moral self chided me, there would be no argument to take away this feeling of joy – not tonight.
Bella was motionless, barely breathing as she slept. I knew she would stay that way for these darkest hours of the night, so I moved to her open window.
The thought of leaving her, even for the short trip home, tore at a corner of my heart for a moment; but I needed to go, just for a little while. My family deserved to know what had happened today.
After one more long look at her restful face, I leapt from her window and ran. The elation in me drove me faster than I’d ever run before. My heart was so light, so happy with her love that my feet didn’t seem to touch the ground. In what seemed like seconds, I was approaching the house. I slowed, and listened to the minds within.
Carlisle was worried that I hadn’t returned yet. He was beginning to fear the worst. Rosalie, on the other hand, was nearly ecstatic. She’d only seen Bella as a threat to her simple life, and was sure that the threat was now gone, that Bella was dead. A brief stab of hate and rage raced through me toward my sister. Alice was calm – she knew that all was well and was trying to convince the rest to make good on the bets they’d made. Esme was worried about me, Bella wasn’t in her thoughts at all. I bounded up the steps loudly, announcing my arrival.
As I opened the door, I tried to smother the smile that had occupied my face since I’d left Bella, but was unsuccessful. My family all turned to me as I entered, and I heard Esme’s relief at my return in her mind.
“How did she taste, Edward?” Rosalie sneered.
I turned to stare at her. At the sight of my still gold eyes, she scowled. My smile grew even wider. “Better than I had ever imagined.”
Carlisle gasped, but Rosalie just looked confused. I turned to my father so he could see my eyes and he relaxed, confused now too.
“I kissed her.”
Shock rippled through the room. Everyone was stunned into silence; everyone except Alice, who started giggling.
With a hrmph, Rosalie turned on her heel and stomped out of the room, furious. Emmett shot me a look of respect and awe before he followed after her. I laughed loudly at her response, a free, unrestrained laugh, and sat down opposite my parents. Jasper, now smiling widely, slid next to Alice and put his arm tightly around her. He had absorbed my happiness and it now reflected in his eyes as well as mine.
Carlisle’s curiosity filled my mind. He rarely spoke to me, but he couldn’t contain himself tonight.
“What happened today, Edward? You look so different…”
Had her love affected my outward appearance as well? “We went hiking, alone. She is so trusting; she had made sure that no one knew she was with me.” Anger colored my words for a moment as I remembered how Bella had guaranteed that I would never be suspected should things have gone… badly.
“How did she react to you in the sun?” Esme was curious too.
I looked into my mother’s eyes. “With wonder. She fears so little about me…” My words trailed off as I remembered when the fear did take over. “There was one point – she came so close to me…” I took a breath as shame washed through me for a moment and looked at my hands.
“But nothing happened?” Esme asked.
I looked up again with new conviction in my heart. “No. I couldn’t hurt her. I can’t ever hurt her, now.” The memory of her sleeping words now filled me again, and I couldn’t stop smiling.
“You love her,” Carlisle whispered, amazed. “And does she…”
I rose triumphantly. “Yes.” I could feel Bella’s pull now, the desire to return to her side was starting to ache in my chest. “May I bring her here tomorrow to meet Esme and show her the house?” Carlisle could see the longing in my eyes.
“Of course. You know you don’t need my permission, Edward.” He smiled. “If you trust her, then we trust her.”
My smile widened. “Thank you, Carlisle.” I turned to go up and change. As the stairs flew beneath my feet, I barely took notice of the

I quit on that previous story but started a new one which i will post on this website. It’s called ‘Broken Sky’ and it is based on the twilight series and has a few of the same characters but instead of from bella’s or edward’s POV, its going to be from jacob black’s point of view. Since he doesn’t really show up much in the first or thied book i’m going to skip books 1-3 and go on with breaking dawn even if it isn’t out yet.

I finished reading Eclipse in January and now am starting all over again…reading Twilight again! 🙂 I cannot waitttttt until Breaking Dawn is out and OMG…MIDNIGHT SUN…is going to be amazingggggggggggg! The only thing i have to complain about these books is that after having read these books….average human boys seem to be lacking. LOL!

I have recently read the Twilight series. I have not read a set of books that has caused me to want to know more about the characters. I feel as if I am right there living each scene with them. It is a great escape after spending all day with my children. I LOVE these books. I read the first chapter of Midnight Sun. I am anticipating the release of that book. To know what Edward is thinking is truly an amazing insight of how the plot takes place. It makes the story better. I have a friend who says I am obsessed. I think that would be the right words. Have you heard some of the music people have written in correspondences with these books. I have fallen in love with the Mitch Hansen band on myspace. Wonderful stuff.

I love these books completly, i really want to read the next book Breaking Dawn and i got so upset when Edward left in the second book i was so happy when bella and edward were back together. I don’t want Bella to end up decieding she likes Jake and want edward to hurry up and change her thats how i want it to end, bella and jake can be friends i just don’t want them to be more than that!
I really want to c the movie it will show me the diffrence between my thoughts on how the charectors react and how they do in the movie! I hope that Midnight Sun is continued and published i read the first chapter n really wanted to read the next.

W-O-W. thats all i can say about this series. i have absolutly fell in love with the cullens. now the only problem is that i keep imagining a world filled with cullen-like vampires around us. that is a problem becuz now i feel like any other boy can’t measure up to the mighty and absolutly wonderful edward. i also keep imagining that my crush is also a vampire like the edward cullen and thats a problem becuz if he ever asks me out (yeah right) im in for a big disapointment *sigh* this world is so cruel. stephanie meyer is now my idol and hero. i hope she keeps wrighting amazing stories about vampires. i never want this series to end!

O MY GOSH I LOVE THE TWILIGHT BOOKS! I COULD READ THEM OVER AND OVER AND OVER! I CANT WAIT FOR THE MOVIE! ITS GUNNA ROCK! AND I CANT WAIT FOR THE FOURTH BOOK EITHER! I heard its in Edwards point of view. But I looked at the characters they have for the movie, and WOW they are nothing like what I imagined! (mostly Carlisle. I was expecting this really hot 20 year old. with blonde hair too.) wow and bella is nothing like I imagined her to be. and I’m sorry, but they couldve picked a MUCH better actor for Edward!!!!!! that guy is UGLY!!! and same with Carlisle!

(i know that sounds weird) a harry potter boy as edward, what? he doesn’t match. i found a picture with emily browning as bella and then there was someone more who was supose to be edward. and that really match. why wount they take him?

lol i began reading twilight about two weeks ago after all these thick dark books caught my eye in the school hallway. so when i saw how fast twilight books were selling in the book fair (yea im in middle school, i’m not one to brag unless for entertaining purposes but i was informed by one principals voice, out of the P.A that we are the top magnet middle school in the u.s(go us nerds)) so i decided to see whats so special about them though i usually don’t take people’s recommendations,OMG… i wish i could forget whatevr i’d read these past two weeks and reread evrything, i mean i even have a freaking scent that reminds me off the book, can something stay on my mind any more?? yes yes it can .lol. im still in eclipse and i don’t want to finish the book so something i don’t usually do.. im reading slow.
BTW whens the 1st movie coming out??
K thats about it.. if anyone cares this i could print out and use as a memoir of my life from April something to May7 2008

I cant wait till Breaking Dawn and Midnight Sun come out. Like since ive started reading the twilight series i cant seem to read any other book then those three books. is so wish i never picked it up but then again i am glad i did. I hope u people enjoyed it as much as i did.

these books were the best i have ever read before in the longest time. the best time in the world is twilight because it really is between the two days. the only thing is that the character description is an exaggeration. he doesn’t look like anything like him i had pictured in my mind and the bella’s hair is different.

ugh, the only computer i can use to access Steph’s stuff is one at my school (the one i’m on right now)but they websense EVERYTHING and so i can’t even read t he first chapter of the Midnight Sun book even though i am DYING to read it!!! my friend works at a theater and he is getting me a twilight movie poster; that’s how obsessed i am about this series.
i am a real critic, and to me, if the writing style isn’tsophisticated enough or is too simplistic, i don’t bother reading it. i was really hesitant with reading twilight since i had heard that it was a real quick and easy read, the exact kind of book that always bores me. instead, it was simply delightful!! i couldn’t believe that i writing such as hers, which was SO easy to read, could possibly be entertaining. i am so glad that i read these books. they areAMAZING!!

I JUST GRADUATED OUT OF 8TH GRADE AND JUST READ ALL 3 TWILIGHT SERIES IN JUST 3 DAYS THAT HAS GOT TO BE A RECORD LOL’z. I THOUGHT THE IDEA OF THE WEDDING RINGS WAS FANTASTIC!!!!!!!!!!!!! I wonder what will happen to Jake in Breaking Dawn after all he did start to run away in the epiloge in eclipse. okay, if you are having problems, here’s what i did. okay, so i couldn’t read it on this, but i went to Wikipedia and looked up midnight sun (novel). scroll down a little, and there should be three websites: official stephanie meyer one, another one like stephaniemeyer/midnightsun thing, and the last one is just Midnight Sun. CLICK ON THE LAST ONE!!! if it still doesn’t come up i don’t know what to say, but best of luck and i hope everyone who reads it enjoys it!!!

I just finished the third book last week. That’s all I did was read last week I finished the whole series! (or all the books that are out anyways) I already am going crazy over the third book. I’m trying to read other books like these but none compare! I went to Barnes and Noble’s the other day but couldn’t find the midnight sun book. That’s why I’m wondering when does it come out?????!!!!! I’m going crazy! I want to read them over again but my aunt has them. I only have the third one 😦

As I hummed, I could feel Bella relaxing in my arms. She was so fragile, so delicate. Soon her heartbeat slowed and her breathing became even as she drifted to sleep. I smiled to myself, remembering the tone of her words as she asked if I found her attractive; her lack of self-awareness amused me. If she only knew how attractive she is to everyone; how she calls to me in so many ways…
I inhaled, enjoying the scent of her slightly damp hair. The smell of her blood was still overpowering, but the monster in me was quiet. No longer would it control me – the new strength I’d found easily kept my burning throat in check.
Bella’s warmth radiated through me as she slept, creating a feeling of belonging that reached into my core. I wanted time to stop right now – there was no place else I ever wanted to be but with her. Her breathing changed, and her eyes began to vibrate beneath her lovely eyelids.
She was dreaming.
I so wished I could hear her dreams, what her subconscious was telling her about me. Was she remembering today, the fear that I instilled in her? Part of me, the practical part, prayed that she was.
I truly didn’t deserve her, and she didn’t deserve to live in the constant danger my proximity meant.
She deserved so much more…
But I couldn’t leave her now. The other part of me, my quiet, cold heart, told me that there was no life for me without her. I’d never wanted for anything before; but now, I knew that everything I was before her was empty. She completed me, made me whole. Now that I knew what that felt like, I couldn’t go back to the way I was. The change was irreversible.
“Not for me,” she whispered in her sleep.
Ah, the frustration was sharp. What was she dreaming about? I gently stroked her hair and waited for more.
“So beautiful. Mmmm, Edward.”
The familiar electricity that I felt whenever Bella said my name returned – amplified by the fact that she was asleep, so vulnerable here in my arms. It was good that my heart was silent; if not, it would be pounding so loud now that she would undoubtedly wake.
“I love you, Edward,” she sighed, and her sleeping face became angelic.
The force of her words rendered me breathless. We’d made our feelings clear, both in words and in actions, but nothing had prepared me for the power such a simple statement had. She loves me.
For so long I couldn’t understand Bella’s hold on me, why she fascinated me so. Even though I had succumbed to her magnetism, I still couldn’t see why she drew me in. She loves me. Now, like the sun rising, everything became clear. She was what I’d been searching for.
I’d thought it was just a coincidence that I’d encountered her; that random chance had thrown us together in this rainy little town. Somehow her simple statement had erased my confusion and I realized that somehow I’d been seeking her out. Decades that had seemingly been spent travelling, learning, sifting through mind after mind, had really been spent searching – trying to find her.
And now she was here, in my arms, safely dreaming. She loves me. The feeling of completeness filled me again, accompanied by another, unfamiliar, yet deeply satisfying warmth. Finally I managed a breath.
“I love you, Bella,” I barely breathed into her sleeping ear.
“Forever,” she whispered contently.
Excitement now filled my heart at hearing this word; it leapt up, grasping at hope – but I immediately chastised it. The thrill of her innocent dreams now calmed as the image I’d seen in Alice’s mind returned. My beautiful Bella, so pale and cold, with golden eyes… forever.
Before the argument in my mind could start again, I felt Bella take a deep breath. She started to roll over, so I carefully slid away from her. As she turned to face where I’d been, her breathing slowed and her eyes were still. The dreaming was over for now. Would she remember any of it in the morning?
Though I longed to touch her face again, I stepped back and sat in the rocking chair instead. The argument now started in my mind, between the moral Edward and the selfish, hungry Edward. The hunger was not for her blood this time, but for her touch. The urge to stroke her skin, kiss her lips, hold her tight was nearly unbearable. I wanted to be so close to her that we would never be separated again – ever. My imagination took me where I longed to be…
I could ask Carlisle to do it. No longer would her blood call out to me, calling to the monster within me. Only her beauty would beckon me, the look in her eyes. I could hold her tight, not worrying about crushing her papery thin bones. I could kiss her the way I so desired to… tasting so much more than just her lips… forever.
Alice had seen it…
And my heart told me that Bella would want it too, she would endure the pain for me; give up her life, her soul, willingly for me.
And that’s where the daydream ended and the argument continued. She didn’t deserve this unending night, forever damned. Heaven wasn’t meant for me, and I wouldn’t do anything that would keep her perfect soul from going to the one place I was barred. Forever was not for us. Sadness washed over me. Was there no middle ground?
There is the present. I was comforted that I would be with her as long as she would have me. I could be selfish and take pleasure in her love as completely as possible today. My chest filled with love for her again. No matter how my moral self chided me, there would be no argument to take away this feeling of joy – not tonight.
Bella was motionless, barely breathing as she slept. I knew she would stay that way for these darkest hours of the night, so I moved to her open window.
The thought of leaving her, even for the short trip home, tore at a corner of my heart for a moment; but I needed to go, just for a little while. My family deserved to know what had happened today.
After one more long look at her restful face, I leapt from her window and ran. The elation in me drove me faster than I’d ever run before. My heart was so light, so happy with her love that my feet didn’t seem to touch the ground. In what seemed like seconds, I was approaching the house. I slowed, and listened to the minds within.
Carlisle was worried that I hadn’t returned yet. He was beginning to fear the worst. Rosalie, on the other hand, was nearly ecstatic. She’d only seen Bella as a threat to her simple life, and was sure that the threat was now gone, that Bella was dead. A brief stab of hate and rage raced through me toward my sister. Alice was calm – she knew that all was well and was trying to convince the rest to make good on the bets they’d made. Esme was worried about me, Bella wasn’t in her thoughts at all. I bounded up the steps loudly, announcing my arrival.
As I opened the door, I tried to smother the smile that had occupied my face since I’d left Bella, but was unsuccessful. My family all turned to me as I entered, and I heard Esme’s relief at my return in her mind.
“How did she taste, Edward?” Rosalie sneered.
I turned to stare at her. At the sight of my still gold eyes, she scowled. My smile grew even wider. “Better than I had ever imagined.”
Carlisle gasped, but Rosalie just looked confused. I turned to my father so he could see my eyes and he relaxed, confused now too.
“I kissed her.”
Shock rippled through the room. Everyone was stunned into silence; everyone except Alice, who started giggling.
With a hrmph, Rosalie turned on her heel and stomped out of the room, furious. Emmett shot me a look of respect and awe before he followed after her. I laughed loudly at her response, a free, unrestrained laugh, and sat down opposite my parents. Jasper, now smiling widely, slid next to Alice and put his arm tightly around her. I looked up again with new conviction in my heart. “No. I couldn’t hurt her. I can’t ever hurt her, now.” The memory of her sleeping words now filled me again, and I couldn’t stop smiling.
“You love her,” Carlisle whispered, amazed. “And does she…”
I rose triumphantly. “Yes.” I could feel Bella’s pull now, the desire to return to her side was starting to ache in my chest. “May I bring her here tomorrow to meet Esme and show her the house?” Carlisle could see the longing in my eyes.
“Of course. You know you don’t need my permission, Edward.” He smiled. “If you trust her, then we trust her.”
My smile widened. “Thank you, Carlisle.” I turned to go up and change. As the stairs flew beneath my feet,

Its like she keeps hearing how his voice sounded in the back of her haed. Since the spoiler said that the wedding will be in the beginning I’m kinda scared that maybe Bella will leave Edward and go to Jacob.= ( I want Breaking Dawn to come out already so I can see. Yeah, I was shocked too when i first read it. Edward her husband was shocked too, the baby is a girl and she is half human and hlaf vampire.
Now I read 378 pages, the fourth book BREAKING DAWN IS GOOD!
Her name is Renesmee, a strange name don’t you think? The worst part is Bella is a vampire too, poor Charile and Jacob, her family. What a shame to say said. I mean who wants to became a vampire, it is too much pain i would rather be a wolve.

YOU get the book in the library like free, I got it from the library the day when the book came out. Now I am reading 608 pages, I could not stop reading it, the book is good. But the daughter that Edward and Bella owns is really smart, already like one week old she said her first word.
Or just order from barnes and noble, it is much cheaper like 10.

As for the whole series in Edwards perspective, Stephenie has said the Twilight will be the only book redone form Edward’s perspective because New Moon would be to painful for her to write in his perspective. As much as I would like it to happen it isn’t likely.
Also of you haven’t read it already, she has written another book that is likely to have a sequel. The Host is well done and if you you like the Twilight saga you will love this book as well.
There is a RUMOR that Midnight Sun will be coming out in the late winter/early sprin of 2009. We will see soon enough. She has said that she is about 2/3 done with it. Her Publishers have probly set the due date already.
Also I do Suspect that she might right more spin off stories form Twilight. It isn’t as though she is limited in number of characters to choose from after breaking dawn. lol =]

2. Open Book
I leaned back against the soft snow bank, letting the dry powder reshape itself around my weight. My skin had cooled to match the air around me, and the tiny pieces of ice felt like velvet under my skin.
The sky above me was clear, brilliant with stars, glowing blue in some places, yellow in others. The stars created majestic, swirling shapes against the black universe – an awesome sight. Exquisitely beautiful. Or rather, it should have been exquisite. Would have been, if I’d been able to really see it.
It wasn’t getting any better. Sixdays had passed, six days I’d hidden here in the empty Denali Wilderness, but I was no closer to freedom than I had been since the first moment that I’d caught her scent.
When I stared up at the jeweled sky, it was as if there were an obstruction
between my eyes and their beauty. The obstruction was aface, just an unremarkable human face,but couldn’t quite seem to banish it from my mind.
I heard the approaching thoughts before I heard the footsteps that accompanied them. The sound of movement was only a faint whisper against the powder.
I was not surprised that Tariya had followed me here, I knew she’d been mulling over this coming conversation for the last few days, putting it off until she.was sure of exactly what she wanted to say.
She sprang into sight about sixty yards away, leaping onto the tip of an
outcropping of black rock and balancing there on the balls of her bare feet.
Tanya’s skin was silver in the starlight, and her long blond curls shone pale, almost pink with their strawberry tint. Her amber eyes glinted as she spied me, halfburied in the snow, and her full lips stretched slowly into a smile.
Exquisite. If I’d really been able to see her. I sighed.
She crouched down on the point of the stone, her fingertips touching the rock, her body coiled.
Cannonball, she thought.
She launched herself into the air; her shape became a dark, twisting shadow as she spun gracefully between me and the stars. She curled herself into a ball just as she struck the piled snow bank beside me.
A blizzard of snow flew uparound me. The stars went black and I was buried deep in the feathery ice crystals:
I sighed again, but didn’t move to unearth myself. The blackness under the snow neither hurt nor improved the view. I still saw the same face.

Then snow was flying again as Tanya swiftly disinterred me. She brushed the powder from my unmoving face, not quite meeting my eyes.

I enjoyed the series but i disagree it was the best in History! It is a different type of vampire series and i found that refreshing. To say vampires arent supposed to be nice is absurd. They are fictional and can be whatever the authur wants them to be. I like the Ann Rice vampire books also. It all depends on your taste. I think Stephenie Meyer is writing Midnight Sun in secret and doesn’t want anyone to know about it. That’s probably why she wrote she is upset and won’t write it for a while. But i think shes gotten pretty far on it.

This should not be venue for arguing, agreed? It seems to me that the original post on this page had to do with drumming up encouraging discourse regarding this book series- I think we can all handle that without tearing others down.
I think in time Stephenie Meyer will find herself in a stronger place, wherein she will be happy finishing out Midnight Sun. I think right now she is hurt and embarrassed to have a rough draft of her work floating around, when she knows she is capable of something better. All writers go through endless revisions before coming up with a finished product- she likely feels like she let the series down by this early version being released.

I think the movie will inspire her to finish Midnight Sun- to see her vision come to life (along with the inclusion of her musical influences), will boost her saddened spirit. Stephenie Meyer has always been a writer in-tune with her fans….I think she WANTS to finish the book, she’s just waiting until her heart is in it!

I agree with u kellyq that shes just to sad to continue. but when she sees her work come to life she will be more then happy to write and publish Midnight Sun.
(Thats just my opinion, i don’t know if thats really the case) Stephenie Meyer may or may not write the book. We cant force her into it. All we can do is hope.

I would like to know where everyone is seeing that she has decided to finish Midnight Sun. I have been checking her web site for a long time and I see nothing on there with a CURRENT DATE saying she has gotten over all the drama from when it was leaked to the net and is now finishing it. Everything that is on her site for Midnight Sun is exactly the same stuff that was on there when she first had it posted online behind her back. I am a huge Twilight fan. I have all 4 books and I’ve read them all twice. I have highly recommended them to everyone I know who hasn’t read them, but I have to say I’ve lost quite a bit of respect for Stephenie over the whole Midnight Sun issue. I do understand she was very hurt and disappointed, but It’s not the fans’ fault that it was leaked. I feel she is punishing her fans for her mistake & apparent lack of good judgement when she entrusted her copies of the story to someone who obviously shouldn’t have been trusted. And to go on and on about how much she fell in love with the characters but then say if she wrote Midnight Sun now she would let James win and all the Cullens would be dead?? That’s a little overboard, in my opinion. I won’t buy or read another one of her books unless it’s Midnight Sun

ok so i started reading the twilight series back in march of this year and i have read the books at least 9 times each and i read midnight sun twice. i really want to read midnight sun the first twelve chs were awesome and really enjoyable. i am not usually a big fan of reading but with the twilight series i am now a very good reader and now i love to read!!!! i agree with MexicanBby stephanie needs to finish midnight sun!!!!!!!

these chapters were amazing. For me I am a huge Twilight fan i personly love Edward Anthony Manson Cullen. Stpehine if you happen to go threw these messages please put out this book.
